Kudos to grassroots West Valley Republicans who decided to open their own Republican office – independent of the AZGOP – after AZGOP Chair Kelli Ward closed the popular Sun City area office a year ago. A volunteer group basically told Ward to stick it in her ear and went to work to re-open an office that Ward has no control over. Saturday, they held a very successfully grand opening with some 400 people in attendance including volunteers, grassroots leaders and candidates. Board of Supervisors Clink Hickman sent a letter of apology for prior commitments to WVR Chairman Sandra Dowling to be read to the attendees. His letter recalled when Hickman, former Trent Franks, and other people donated money to keep the “home base” office running through the 2014 General Election. He noted, “We are in that same spot again where the State GOP pulled vital financial support. He questioned Ward’s decision, pointing out, “The West Valley Republican Clubs and legislative districts are filled with some of the strongest bases of precinct committeeman and volunteer workers of any area in Arizona! It sure seems this move is both divisive and should be viewed as an affront to all of us in the West Valley” His letter included appreciation to Dowling (his opponent in the 2014 primary.) He noted the new office is a home base for West Valley Republicans who remain true to GOP values.” In closing, he commented, “And to Kelli Ward, … thank you for showing that you do not care about one of the strongest Republican work forces, …at least it was early enough to do something about another dumb decision. The quick efforts made to salvage our West Valley headquarters is going to once again prove immensely valuable… as they unite in working towards a sweeping victory in November.” He suggested to the Board, that If Kelli Ward comes out to make a speech, they should ask her to do it ‘out in the parking lot in the hot sun due’ to her treatment of the West Valley volunteers/voters. – ft
Arizona’s Republican National Committeewoman Lori Klein Corbin, National Committeeman Tyler Bowyer and AZGOP chairman Kelli Ward, attended the Republican National Committee winter meeting and took part is discussions on holding China accountable for releasing COVID on the world, make sure only Americans vote in our elections, and censuring Congressmen Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for their recent behavior. Five resolutions were passed at the RNC membership meeting.

ANDREW COSTANZO, Gila County Republican Committee: Robert’s Rules of Order, along with the US Constitution, the Arizona Constitution, and the AZ GOP Bylaws, govern the conduct of AZ GOP. All four must be congruent with each other. These documents acknowledge that the majority rules, but only after those who wish to speak, including the minority, have been allowed to speak. Very similar to our republican form of government. Deliberative societies, such as AZ GOP, join for purposeful consideration or discussion. When a rule following member is illegitimately denied the right speak, it is inconsistent with our objective, and we are all harmed. An issue may not be of interest to you, but the next issue may be. Who will then defend your right to speak? The cowardly and illegitimate 1/22/22 State Mandatory Meeting adjournment is another demonstration of them, the establishment, verses us, the grass roots. It may be that as an electorate we don’t vet our candidates well enough, often turning elections into popularity contests. Moving forward, let us work harder to elect only “we the people” candidates that understand and practice the characteristics of servant leadership.
DICK HAMILTON: Frosty, the 02-03-2022 Briefs was excellent. Love it when you choose to opine. Always on point and well thought out!
MARY MORRIS and MARLENE MACEK -Scarlet Precinct PC’s: Thank you for the section on candidate vetting. Don’t forget to follow the money. Look at each candidate’s campaign finance reports, past and present. Who donated to their campaign? How did they spend their money? What companies did they hire? Get background information on those companies, their founders and their customers. Who is their campaign manager? Where did they come from? Who did they work for? LinkedIn is a great resource for work history. Look for RINO connections. If the candidate was a lobbyist, then access lobbying reports. Research their customers. And don’t forget to look at the campaign finance reports of known RINOs such as Ducey and the Maricopa County Supervisors. Who contributed to their campaigns? When the Scarlet Precinct PCs and volunteers ask candidates questions, we approach it as a job interview. After all, we are “hiring” the candidate and they will work for us. Start with the top three controversial questions that should be asked: 1) Was the 2020 election stolen? 2) Was the January 6th event in DC an insurrection? 3) Does the state legislature have the authority to decertify an election? Based on the candidate’s response, you will learn who will fight for you and who will compromise and surrender. TOM SINYARD: Impressive lady, promoted by Trump, but Kari Lake failed to answer my question at a recent gathering. My question” I like almost all your stated actions you would take immediately. How are you going to complete each pledge without a planned legal authority, similar to the new VA governor, who would assist you overcome legal resistance” While I’m asking, I’m told you once voted for Obama. Is that true and your comment?
DAVID FARNSWORTH, LD16 chair: Frosty, Thank you for all you do.
REP JUDY BURGES, LD1 Rep: A nation without a border is a nation that shall cease to exist. By the end of 2021, over two million illegal, unskilled immigrants from 190 countries will have passed through our border carrying with them many diseases that were nearly eradicated with the use of modern medicines. Highly toxic drugs such as Chinese manufactured fentanyl are flooding across our border and coming into simple contact with this heinous substance can cause death! Human trafficking has increased 550% and Mr. Biden has lost 30% of the children crossing the border into lifestyles leading to their ruination. The cartels profits, various businesses profit, self-serving politicians profit, but the children suffer. Can states enforce immigration laws? A Memo by the U.S. Justice Dept. under Attorney General Ashcroft makes it clear local law enforcement can enforce immigration laws without restriction or permission. It is past time to put politics aside, start enforcing the laws that protect our citizens, and restore the dignity for those who seek asylum in the United States but in accordance with our already written laws. It is also time elected officials step-up and protect the citizens who placed them into office, and regard the oaths of office each swore.
LIZ JAMES: I thought I asked the AZGOP State Treasurer a simple easy question, not the complicated do-it-yourself one received. Just a total number of available precinct committeemen positions open in Maricopa County and a total number of unfilled positions, to be filled, in Maricopa County as of today. I thought it would have been at her fingertips as Treasurer, sorry if I was mistaken. Does she want me to do the work in each precinct myself? She did provide good leads for the rest of the State. Editor’s Note: PC number constantly change as more PCs sign up or resign. – ft
BRENDA J. KALIVIANAKIS : I really appreciate the briefs, thank you for making it happen.
JIM EHL, AZ Town Crier: ‘Frosty’, you just made my case 02-03-2022 Briefs– – Why in the hell have a political party? What use is the AZGOP? There are 1,501,302 registered Republican voters in Arizona. They all don’t vote, but of those who do, how many research any of the candidates? Campaigning, just how many candidates say anything negative about themselves, some spew BS just for the vote. Whoever wrote Title 16 of the ARS determined that about only 1 in 125 voters were interested enough to get involved in grass roots politics, and how many do we have? What is their purpose? What is the purpose of the AZGOP? It being led autocratically by one person means that the AZGOP can mostly represents the thought and actions of one person. That’s probably why we are now a ‘purple’ state. Where are ‘we the people’? How many voters do you think will respond to your article. Until we make the county chairs the AZGOP executive committee with directive authority, and come up with a workable PC recruitment/training program, and a good state wide GOTV program… we are still headed downhill like a snowball headed for hell. Frosty, you are an influential person. If I can influence you in any way, I’m ahead of the game.
NANCY PLENCNER: We have been traveling and are now staying in Florida for a few days. Prior to boarding our cruise, we had to have a Covid test. I tested positive, yet asymptomatic and feeling fine. So had another test, same result. We are now unable to fly or get on a ship. Five hours after the test, I received a call from the Florida Department of Health — I had never given the test facility permission to release my test results to anyone. But there they were, the Government with a capital G wanting to know how I was feeling and was I going to be traveling. I told them flat out it was none of the government’s business where I went or what my plans were and further, I did not appreciate the big arm of government following me. This is what happens when you take this Covid health issue to its extremes…this is never going away, it will only get more and more invasive destroying our rights as Americans and our ability to move freely. I am barred from flying for 10 days…who gave them the authority to impose this I asked, they said the CDC. Well Governor DeSantis, so this is the Free State of Florida you are so proud of?
TJ WINER: Starting Mon, Feb 7, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) will launch the Arizona phase of their multi-state campaign to discuss election integrity and recruit people for election integrity task forces. They will be covering 10 Arizona cities in six days (full list of dates and cities below). Election integrity is one of the most important issues for grassroots conservatives ahead of the 2022 midterms. The first phase of TPPA’s campaign took place in Georgia in November and 700 people attended. After the Arizona phase is complete, TPPA will head to several additional states over the next few months. TPPA played a leading role in the conservative wave elections of 2010 and 2014.

DICK HAMILTON: I was disappointed to read about State Reps Steve Kaiser and César Chávez plans to take zoning laws away from local municipalities. Why not? Give Big Brother, aka State Government, more power. This proposal should never see the light of day in the AZ legislature. Rule of thumb: governing locally is the best solution. That’s the closet to the citizens.
JAMES ALBERTS: Bridge Collapse! Pa. news station interviewed one resident that lives near the bridge when the collapse occurred, the resident stated he was awaken by ” A Boom Boom ” and then his house shock. Never seen that interview again. Anyone investigating this?
YALE WISHNICK: The American Government School Curriculum — GOP is not saying a word. The RepublicanParty Network demands that teachers be fired.
STEPHEN SIVIGLIANO: Does everyone remember the song “Convoy” some 20-30 years ago? Well, a similar event has happened in Canada. An estimated 50,000+ big rigs in Canada about 40 miles long, accompanied by lots of farmers driving their machinery, to the Canadian capital of Ottawa, protesting a lot of things, among them, mandatory masking/vaccinations, & etc.s. This may be coming soon, to a U.S. capital near you-know-who. The event is in the planning stages. Let’s see if it accomplishes anything good. I bet this story was not in the alphabet news media(nbc, cnn, msnbc, etc.). We shall see what we shall see.

STEVE GAYNOR, gubernatorial candidate, spoke on his conservative vision for Arizona, including border security, election integrity, and fighting liberal COVID mandate, at the Great State Alliance’s Freedom Friday event. Gaynor emphasized his unique background as a businessman who has saved companies and created jobs, noting no other candidate in the GOP primary race has a similar background. The Great State Alliance, a faith-based non-profit created to preserve the constitutional liberties of businesses, churches, and schools. Freedom Friday educates and empowers the conservative community by providing in-person connections and opportunities to keep abreast of issues that target our lifestyles and businesses.
SHIRY SAPIR: Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate: The Arizona Department of Health Services has released its long-awaited report on child mortalities in 2020! Number don’t lie and the results will break your heart! To view the full report, please visit the AZ DHS website. Here are the stats that our campaign noticed:
Kids Ages 15-19:
- Deaths from Assault (homicide) increased 25%
- Deaths from Suicide increased 40%
- Deaths from “Accidental Poisoning” increased 42.8%
- Overall deaths increased 30%
- Total deaths from COVID – 0
Kids Under the Age of 14:
- Total deaths from Motor Vehicle – 40
- Totals deaths from Drowning – 20
- Total deaths from Intentional self-harm (suicide) – 20
- Total deaths from COVID – 0
In summation, the education system and current leadership have failed our children. The numbers show child mortality has not only increased but that the threats facing our children are greater than COVID. The overall health, well-being, and education of our children were neglected because of a virus that posed zero risk to children. The science and data for children were clear from the beginning; children are not at risk of dying from COVID. Yet, “leaders” locked them down and forced them behind a computer screen for weeks and months. The response to COVID statistically caused more deaths than COVID. We will never let this miscarriage of justice happen ever again. I will give power back to parents and put them in a position to make decisions based on what they know is best for their children. RODNEY GLASSMAN, attorney general candidate: Were you tuned in Thursday? I appeared on One America News to speak about my candidacy for Attorney General. I talked about the importance of keeping our school boards in check and never allowing Critical Race Theory in our schools. I was sure to speak about Joe Biden’s mishandling of our border – our country needs to know how bad it has gotten in Arizona. I’m ready to fight back against Joe Biden, and secure our border. CONGRESSIONAL UPDATES

CONGRESSMAN DAVID SCHWEIKERT introduced an Amendment to H.R. 4521, the America COMPETES Act. Within this bill, additional authorities under the Defense Production Act related to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration can be prolonged to December 31, 2025. The Amendment offered by Schweikert would strike this section from becoming law. “The restrictions and lockdowns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have crippled our country. Rather than working to end the Public Health Emergency, H.R. 4521 works to give the federal government even greater authority to impose COVID measures until a potential date of December 31, 2025. We cannot continue the pandemic restrictions for another three years, the damage that would be caused is unthinkable. It’s time to end the pandemic, not prolong it,” said Schweikert.
CONGRESSMAN ANDY BIGGS has reintroduced the Ending Common Core and Expanding School Choice Act. This legislation repeals some of the stringent federal policies tied to education funding for low-income students and allows states and parents to implement educational options that meet the needs of their children. “During COVID-19 we learned that parents need to have greater control over their child’s education. When traditional public schools shut down in 2020, parents were forced to turn their homes into classrooms and put their own careers and incomes on hold to pick up the slack, while public schools continued to receive federal funds. Parents became aware of the indoctrination of their children. My bill would have given states the option for federal education dollars to follow students to alternative education options, such as private schools, charter schools, homeschooling, or private tutoring. I will continue fighting to limit federal involvement in our nation’s education system. This bill is an important first step towards increasing choice in education and ensuring students have access to the education that best meets their needs.” See Ending Common Core and Expanding School Choice Act here.
