PEARL HARBOR DAY

Bob Lettieri has announced his candidacy for Arizona State Treasurer. The highly respected former four-year Arizona Republican Party treasurer successfully negotiated settling fines and sanctions the AZGOP faced with the Federal Elections Commission, stemming from the 2014 and 2016 election cycles. Lettieri was so appreciated and trusted for his strengths in finance and accounting, that he ran unopposed for his second term in 2019. Lettieri volunteered for the Maricopa County Election Audit; troubled with the audit findings he remains active in the pursuit of election integrity. In addition to working at AZGOP, Bob worked with the Madison Coalition, a conservative advocacy group headquartered in Washington D.C. He was instrumental in getting all of Arizona’s Republican Congressman to co-sponsor the Keep Nine constitutional amendment, which says simply: “The Supreme Court of the United States shall be composed of nine justices.” Lettieri’s career in corporate financial management spans more than 40 years, with 30 of those years as a CFO. He has raised over $100 million in the capital markets over the past four decades. He has reported on those investments to C-Level Management and Boards of Directors of both privately held and publicly held companies, and to the SEC and FEC. Lettieri is running as a Clean Election candidate. Go to https://bobfortreasurer.com to sign his nominating petition online or contribute to his campaign.

READERS SPEAK OUT
READER/WRITER OPINIONS ARE NOT NECESSARILY THOSE OF THE BRIEFS. Word Limit is 300. No more two and three part commentaries. EXCESS VERBIAGE IS SUBJECT TO EDITING. Briefs will post candidate announcements. – ft

SCOTT POWELSON: Your money spent to house and care for illegal aliens. Did the congress vote for this and which did if they did? See protest video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_MAKnSidfs

JIM DUTTON: One has to wonder how two of our so-called Republicans and defenders of the Constitution could support H.R. 550? H.R. 550 is Democrat authored legislation that increases the power of the CDC and Healthcare organizations to obtain immunization records and personal health information. Not only that, but it also increases the control of the CDC over any organizati that applies for monetary grants or support from them. These controls are necessary for the enforcement of Vaccine Mandates, which we all know are unconstitutional. Debbie Lesko and Dave Schweikert are those Republicans and both of them certainly seem to wander from the fold from time to time. A link to the text of the bill is below https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/550/text

TRISTAN MANOS, LD24: How about that, staring us right in the face, Phoenix’s own version of the Council on Foreign Relations: The Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR). “The prestigious Council on Foreign Relations, administered an outreach program around the country. By providing knowledgeable speakers such as ambassadors, current and former government officials, academics and senior business executives, the Council mirrored in local communities the format which had become its hallmark in New York City: expert commentary by the speaker followed by a not-for-attribution discussion with by-invitation-only participants. This sounded like the perfect vehicle to move Phoenix leaders to a higher level of international involvement In many ways Phoenix became a model program based on the number and quality of programs offered as well as the level of participation of its active membership, more than justifying the Council’s confidence.” See the sponsors HERE. As for PCFR’s President: “Claire Sechler Merkel serves as President of the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations and Senior Director of Arizona Programs for the McCain Institute at ASU. She leads the McCain Institute’s Arizona work in combatting human trafficking along with promoting Senator McCain’s legacy of human rights and democracy and character driven leadership in international affairs.” See her in action HERE. Wander around the website, HERE, and elsewhere. Is this helping you understand all the more what’s going on all around us, right here in Phoenix, and throughout Maricopa County? We see some government officials, corporate executives, and virtue signalers, and we see happy and smiling tyrants, making The Declaration of Independence more like the “Declaration of Dependence,” and The American Dream more like “The American Nightmare,” driven by America Last, ripping off and exploiting We The People for the sake of a misguided and immoral agenda and greed for power, control, and money. Contact: tristanmanos3@gmail.com

MATTHEW RIBARICH of Tucson: Why is it that a Basketball Player that becomes a Citizen and takes on the Name”Freedom” is smarter then the 80 House Republicans who vote with the Democrats to lessen our Freedoms? When in the hell are Republicans that we donate to and support going to vote for strictly Republican VALUES? Then we have the 19 REPUBLICAN Senators voting with the Democrats! When is this going to STOP?

ERIC FRIZZELL, LD20: I’m a freethinking, libertarian-minded Republican and have discovered, after 4-5 attempts to be an online member of the Republican Party Network (RPN), that Yale Wishnick censors and tries to dictate and force conformity to his definition of American patriotism, by regarding any Republican who remotely proves to be a freethinker, as a threat to his newly discovered neo-con Nazism, as a knee-jerk reaction of regret (by Wishnick) for having been a communist, leftist, tyrannt, who forcefully embraced communist, leftist ideology on anyone he could get his hands on, in the public fool system we know as a public school system (with inherent brainwashing attached). Wishnick’s fundamental errors are: 1)that America and the World are coming to an end due to CRT (which is being defeated in court, in ways that logically thinking would have easily predicted, had Wishnick been paying attention to), hence, the World and America are not coming to an end…but CRT has, is and will die its own painful, pitiful death, through no effort or actions of Wishnick; and, 2) Wishnick refuses to acknowledge and believe that America’s veterans are gun owners (most of whom are avid Trump supporters) can and will successfully defeat CRT and any other anti-American/anti-freedom efforts, both foreign and domestic (and not through any Wishnick efforts), so help us God! Wishnick is not my supervisor nor my master, so he can take slave-driving attitude and dictatorship elsewhere. My gun rights and all other constitutional rights are not subordinate to Wishnick, nor are they subject to his (and his numerous colleagues) approval. A US Army veteran, NRA Lifer and Avid Trump Supporter-PFC (E-3)

YALE WISHNICK: Black racist murders Americans, but according to CNN, it was a car. This is an example of how our culture changes. It starts with “words,” then symbols, then statues, then history, and in a few years, a transformed country. GOP leadership refuses to protect the American culture of success. The only interest of the GOP is to win in 2022. But if the past is the best predictor of the future, the GOP will do… See complete statement at https://www.republicanpartynetwork.com/

NANCY PLENCNER: ENOUGH! $6 a gallon for Calif. gas, a rental car almost $200 a DAY! Sprout’s $1.99 a lb chicken sausage now $5.99. Shortages abound and parts for my car repair soared as if the parts were solid gold. Sears just had a Black Friday sale offering $999 each for a washer and a dryer. Heck in the Bay area they are free where prosecutors refuse to call theft a crime as long as what looters take is less than $1,000. Just a few months ago, nurses, police and firemen were labeled “essential employees” heroes who are now fired for not being vaccinated. Biden wants 87,000 more IRS agents to harass citizens; anyone recall Lois Lerner – the crooked IRS official? Multiply her by thousands and you have an IRS hoard swooping down on us. Chairman of the Scottsdale school board compiles a “Revenge” dossier of parents who oppose what is being taught to their children. While around the corner in a Scottsdale hotel illegal’s lounge by the pool, housed and fed at taxpayer expense until they are flown across the country and dumped off in unsuspecting communities. The only thing to be grateful for this Thanksgiving is, America is waking up the push back is building, see Virginia elections. We will not be forced to take shots, mask up or let union members teach crap to our children. We will not shut up about the price of gas as we are told by Pete Buttieg to just buy an electric car and Dr. Fauci yaps on about Covid and that maybe we can have Christmas. Yeah? Well after Christmas comes New Years, Dr. Fauci – and the 2022 elections…will see how well that works out for you and the Democrats.

RUSSELL PEARCE, former AZ Senate President: AZ Mirror, the voice of the far, far left is at it again, spreading the same old lies and quoting the open border, far, far left Randy Parraz – as they attack me and SB1070. Apparently standing up for the rule of law is racist, standing up for secure borders is racist, and protecting American lives is racist. Let me set the record straight. “Let me be clear. Russell Pearce is the most effective legislator on immigration issues in the country…state or federal! For starters, he is the architect of SB 1070—the most effective piece of legislation against illegal immigration ever written and passed. It is so powerful a tool against illegal immigration that Open Borders Obama sued Arizona in federal court to try and block it,” – Team America, Co-Chairs Bay Buchanan, Congressman Tom Tancredo.

In the age of Joe Biden, it is even more critical that it has fallen to conservative states to uphold our values and traditions. And among the states fighting to protect our Constitution, our freedoms and protect our citizens from those who break our laws. States must take their place at the head of the family and must nullify any acts by the federal government not enumerated in the Constitution. SB1070 that passed in 2010: I fought the ACLU, Chamber of Corruption, Obama’s Dept. of Justice and others all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court where SB1070 was upheld (11 of the 14 sections) including 11-1051 sec. 2a and 2b were upheld unanimously and made it clear law enforcement has authority must enforce the immigration laws, including Employer Sanctions (passed in 2007, HB2779) all found Constitutional, legal and necessary recognizing states inherent authority to arrest, hold and remove those in our country illegally. See complete statement at https://russellpearce.com/enough-is-enough-lets-set-the-record-straight

STEPHEN SIVIGLIANO: How long have we been hearing the word variant? This variant, that variant, little boy blue variant, when will it stop? If China has anything to say about it, it will continue until doomsday. I had thought that maybe it was an accidental release of covid. Ha! Back in ’67, when I was in boot camp at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, part of our training was classroom information about the 3 modern types of warfare. They are, according to USAF, NBC warfare (nuclear, biological, chemical), and they are very dangerous and fatal for millions of people, and how we were supposed to recognize and deal with it. Well, do we really believe that the covid release was an accident? I think it was a deliberate experiment of the CCP (Chinese communist party) to see how successful such a weapon could be. These variants are probably part of their work to develop such biological weaponry. Their initial result wasn’t devastating enough, but as they continued to wait for the outcome, it looks like their attack on the world is producing more fatalities and will encourage them to keep on experimenting to get much higher death numbers. Didn’t Syria try the chemical factor against their own people a few years ago? We should be concerned about the danger that Taiwan is in now, especially since we know “Obiden” will do nothing to protect or defend them if China decides to take that island.

CONGRESSMEN SPEAK OUT
Anything longer than Briefs 300 word limit is subject to editing/shortening. – ft

Andy Biggs: I led the House Freedom Caucus in calling for Senator McConnell to block the government funding bill – or continuing resolution (CR) – unless it prohibits funding and enforcement for President Biden’s vaccine mandates. Being in the minority means we must use every tool in our toolbox to push back on legislation that does not benefit Americans. In this case, Senate Republicans had all the leverage needed to prohibit funds from being used to enforce the vaccine mandates. Unfortunately, their efforts were not successful, and although I voted NO on the CR, it passed both the House and Senate late Thursday evening. This will not stop my efforts to end President Biden’s very damaging, unAmerican, and in the worst cases, unlawful vaccine mandates. Read more about our work here. Before I voted on the CR, I went on Varney & Co. to discuss the possibility of a government shutdown. As I said on the show, the Democrats use fearmongering and intimidation tactics to force members into passing spending bills, like the CR, that are a bad deal for the American people. But a handful of us (special thanks to Senator Mike Lee for leading the charge on the Senate side) stood strong against these tactics and demanded that Biden’s mandates be permanently blocked.

CANDIDATES SPEAK OUT
Republican candidates may submit announcements, statements, opinions, events etc. Anything longer than Briefs 300 word limit is subjected to editing down. Briefs does not post candidate endorsements, nor do we participate in any candidate campaigns. – ft

NICK MYERS, AZ Corp Comm candidate: First, I was playing around over the holiday weekend and came up with a short video that hopefully will add some context to the things I have been discussing on the campaign trail. If a picture is worth 1,000 words, a video is worth 1,000,000. I hope you enjoy. Watch the video here Next, I give you the typical update. This one is full of miscellaneous items that happened over the last two weeks at the commission and some things that are about to happen at the next open meeting.Watch the video here As promised in the video, here is the link to the opinion piece rebuttal to Senator Boyer: Read here Please make sure you get the petitions signed for Kevin Thompson and me. We are getting down to the final 3 months or so and we still have a ways to go. This cycle will be make-or-break based on grassroots involvement, especially for clean-elections candidates. Make sure you do your part to ensure we have good candidates on the ballot! That includes getting your friends (and your friend’s friends) to sign the petitions as well. Thank you again for those of you that have been helping and keep up the good work! www.nickmyers.us

JIM LAMON, US senate candidate: The American people have been paying for Socialist pet projects for way, way too long. Biden wants to “Build Back Better?” There will be nothing left to build after he destroys America with all of his mandates and poor policies that are crushing businesses across America! It’s time we stopped government overreach and stopped letting BIG GOVERNMENT spend every nickel and dime the American people have on a radical Socialist Agenda! I’m running for U.S. Senate in Arizona to stop this overreach and put America First! Are you ready to join the fight to Take Back the Senate from the Radical Left?! Jim Lamon for Senate (winred.com)

SHIRY SAPIR, Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate: Our campaign has lots of support and momentum heading in 2022. However, I still need to collect more of the REQUIRED $5 contribution from 1,800 Arizona voters to qualify for Clean Elections funding. Clean Elections means I won’t have to rely on special interest money to fund my campaign. Therefore, once I am in office, special interest groups can’t expect favors because my campaign won’t be funded by them – only by YOU – the families of Arizona! The clock has started, and the deadline will be here in no-time! Your donation is what I need so I can Champion Our Children. The $5 contribution is crucial to my success. See www.electshirsapir.com or https://apps.azsos.gov/apps/election/eps/qc/

MATT SALMON, gubernatorial candidate, has announced the formation of his Education Coalition. This group of leaders across Arizona form the foundation of a coalition that will advise the campaign’s policy agenda on issues related to empowering parents and their children; recruiting and retaining talented teachers; and expanding meaningful accountability, opportunities and choice in education. The founding members include:

  • Jaime Molera (Co-Chair), Molera Alvarez
  • Bill Coats (Co-Chair), The Leona Group Arizona
  • Ronda Doolen, East Valley Institute of Technology
  • Mike Hughes, former Mesa Public Schools Governing Board President
  • Frank Riggs, businessman and former member of Congress
  • Linda Stapley, Mesa Public Schools
  • Glenn Way, American Leadership Academy

ROBERT CANTERBURY LD22 PC/Candidate for Maricopa County BOS, District 4: My response to Jeff Greenspan’s question on 12-03-21 Briefs. I am a firm believer that voting is the single most important duty of LEGAL citizens of this nation and every election is more important than the last. Here is my opinion of election results. There is no law that I can find where election results need to be in within 2-3 days after the election. November 3 – January 20 is a long time and those whose duties it is to certify results MUST take their time to make sure everything is correct, addresses match up, signatures match up, no deceased people voting, etc. There is not a politician, especially in Maricopa County, that can tell me that they verified all that information in 2-3 days considering the population of our county. I can promise the people of Maricopa County, if I am elected to the BOS in 2024, the Secretary of State will be waiting a lot longer for the election results in Maricopa County and the nation may wait for our results as well. There will be no office or board in America that will do a more thorough job to investigate the results of an election than the MCBOS if I am a member. The first phone call that I will make after I get sworn into office will be to the Secretary of State to see what we can do as a county to get rid of the Dominion voting machines and get back to the basics of voting. Everything that we can plug into a wall or Wi-Fi source can be compromised and the future of our nation is just way too important to take that chance again.

Matt Salmon, Republican gubernatorial candidate, released a new policy paper outlining how he plans to further strengthen Arizona’s schools for children, parents, and teachers through meaningful accountability and educational freedom. The policy paper will provide the foundation for Salmon’s educational agenda as Arizona’s next governor. See Education Policy Paper Online

JIM LAMON, US Senate Candidate: Transparency in America. Where is it? I can’t find it because the Radical Liberals are dead-set on lying and lying and lying. Democrats don’t want transparency in elections, school board actions, and especially not from the media. This is hurting America creating a divide among Americans. It’s got to stop. We’ve got to stop letting them paint a narrative in America and let people hear the TRUTH. It’s time we get some transparency in America, and I hope you’ll join me in that fight so we can get America back on the right track!
